This is the same config that Mylow showed on his disk in the last vid where he showed the motor running. The stator is the HS811n - same one he used in his last vid.

The disk symmetry is the same - My disk is 18 inch aluminum - The rotors are M646 - about 1 pound pull maybe a bit more than that.

As you can see -Mine does not work.

Cheers

  • Hi Queue, I have a challenge for you: Why don't you try to play Devil's Advocate and try to fake a working motor and then demo and explain it for your viewers. This will stir up a ruckus and it will be very healthy for the debate.

Set up the symmetrical magnet arrangement, hide two drive coils underneath a mat 180 degrees apart, and hide a trigger coil or Hall sensor and wire up your transistor, resistor, and battery. Show how easy it is to fake, it will get people thinking.

  • @ Drevtoobe .. never have been able to understand the psychology of the person who wants to build a fake just to fool other people.. i just really don't get it.

Thanks .. but i would never choose to waste my time that way.

    Cheers.

  • We have all been giving Mylow a hard time.. so I thought it is your turn (haha) I watched your earier video rotor-stator testing with interest and I note that the stator mag is much closer to the rotors than in this current video. I apologise for my comments... but I would love you to try some variety rather than see your admitted failed attempts spinning again and again.

  • @ Stjohnusvimusic

Not enough time to film everything i try - 2 time intensive .. usually i film what worked best or what is important to show synopsis. For this film i am trying to copy rotor disk symmetry 7*7 + 1*6 of what Mylow showed in his last video of working config. Mylow choosees not to help for rotor disk config details which makes it difficult to copy.

Visual acuity bad measuring tool - very inaccurate. Mylow could make it much easier 4 replicators - not very open source of him

    imo

  • Q, you are going to need some fishing line and a electric motor to make a proper replication of the Mylow motor. But don't be sad about this. Just have to start over. It will happen, It is just going to take some more time.

    Take care,

    Slinky

  • Slap some bar magnets on that thing and do the dual stator setup.

  • You are missing the point. You don't build it to fool people, you build it and explain how you did it to demonstrate to people how easily they can be fooled. You now how there is near-universal agreement that the first Mylow self-running clip is a total fake. Then two weeks later there are more convincing fake clips and people are totally thrilled and think it is all real, seemingly forgetting the first fake. Showing how ridiculously easy it is to fake will make them think twice.

  • First of all, nice work! Looking at Mylows vid of this configuration it appears he had his stator lower, just skimming the disc. I'll bet you already tried that though? Come on in here Mylow, give Queue a helping hand.

  • Sorry Slinky, but any speculation about the Earth's magnetic fields, "gravitational anomalies", or the latitude or longitude being responsible for the alleged running of the motor are false. Earth's magnetic field for all practical intents and purposes is static and unchanging for an observer on the ground. There are no gravitational anomalies, someone has been watching too much Star Trek.

  • NIce job Queue!

    wonder why it doesnt work?

  • Q, Earths magnetic fields are not the same in all places. Some places stronger, some places weaker. I have no idea if this makes a difference as far as magnetic motors go. Remember, Steven Mark talked about magnetic fields and a exploding GE TV set with very high magnetic effects during 1965 in Chicago. He thought magnetic fields were involved as they were so strong that it pulled nails out of the wall to the TV.

The exploding TV, the Mylow motor both in Chicago. Don't know. But.......

  • Q, Looks like Mylow told Sterling on his site how he makes the motors. He just places only a few rotor magnets at a time, then runs them to test, starts over if it don't work. Once a few work, do the other side same way. If it coggs, stop, go back and re work just the cog part only. Continue this way until finished. Worth a try. Seems no two magnet placements are the same. All a little different. Trial and error only, no magic involved. How about a velcro disc and magnet setup? May beee. Slinky
