A video from my visit to the BBC Radio 1 building in London where I had a go on probably the world's most advanced mixing desk, as used by the "saviour of Radio 1" himself, Chris Moyles.

Best of all, I recorded my own edition of 'Car Park Catchphrase' with the one and only Mr. Roy Walker! It was an absolutely fantastic experience.

  • whats the music played in the background??????

  • It's the music from the gallery segment during the old TV show 'Vision On'.

  • thanks! any other music beds?????? that you know of?

  • It depends what you need them for! Production discs are invaluable; I've used a lot of those to source beds for student radio programmes.

  • So jealous, that must have been amazing!

  • It was very, very cool - I'm now studying radio as part of my Media course and suffice to say the Radio 1 studio was rather more hi-tech!
