Winner of the North American Digilent Design Contest 2011. We developed this system over two months in our free time.

For an update on the project (and a cool Legend of Zelda demonstration) please check this video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMKbmCjt_W8

Our system is loosely based off the Nintendo Entertainment System's PPU. We developed on the Nexys2 board using XPS as our development environment. The project utilized VHDL, the Microblaze architecture and C ( and C++ for tools). Due to design decisisions we were limited to the system's Block RAM (16KB).

Here we describe some aspects of our project and demostrate two games we recreated for our system: the 1982 classic Frogger and the iconic 1972 Pong.
