When Rachel Cyr of Quincy was able to renew her driver's license at age 81 last year, she was surprised. She didn't have to take a driving test to pass, but knew she felt shakier at the wheel than in previous years. She was amazed she received a renewed license good for another five years after only taking a vision test. Cyr, now 82, talks about why she gave up her license on her own and how she gets around. She thinks all older drivers should be tested, annually, starting at age 75 -- or younger. Read Tuesday's Good Age column in The Patriot Ledge, your original local news source.
