Japanese (semi-)Naked Mud Wrestling Festival

Earlier in 2009 I revisited the mudslinging festival I attended 2 years ago. This time I got some interviews (well one at least) and learned a little more about the Hadaka Matsuri - Naked Festival.
In Yotsukaido in Chiba in Eastern Japan, a planting festival is held in early February where nigh naked men clad in loincloths known as fundoshi go down to a cold muddy pond and wrestle in the mud. The festival is to ensure health and wealth of the community and rice crops.

Dave man can I ask you how you affort so much travelling? I pretty much would loved to do so aswell xD. I love Japan and his history. Lol I pretty much love all World History European Castles Egyptian Piramids etc but man I can not affort such travel whats your secret?

I travel cheap and take a lot of little trips. this though was roughly in the neighborhood and on my day off
