  • Nope didn't like it unfortunately but that's my opinion and I'm not Trolling but they do have talent don't get me wrong but if you came from England and especially the home town of the Beatles then you would see why (I don't want any hate messages back)

  • @stanleyknife72

Well it is true that I'm not from Liverpool but my father (1903-83) was.

He lived at 35 Catharine street…

  • forget Elvis or the Beatles, lonnie Donegan is king of all music.

  • Can't argue with that... Lonnie Donegan, by far and away, had the most influence on me musically. Back in the 1950's he was THE MAN.

  • I'd like to see more of lonnie's stuff get more air time, so much of his is unknown to the public these days, lets all bring back lonnie the seme as they did with 'Elvis'

  • I've done lots of Lonnie Donegan covers on youtube...

at the search just enter: Lonnie Donegan lewdite

  • We Yanks got our folk music from the Irish & the Welsh traditions.

Then the Brits played it in the 1950s.

Then we Yanks paid bands like the Beatles to play it back to us!

  • you should do a tutorial on how to play this on guitar

  • a "Beatles CD???"

  • Skiffle is the British version of American folk music.

  • far far to american sounding its not supposed to be american at all :(

  • You know, I hope a lot more air time is given to lonnie's/your music I grew up hearing a lot of his material on the radio along with the tons of other stuff in the sixties, and my Mam played his records loads as well, what a time, man.
