Quibble all you want about terminology, but it's nigh-exactly what he said, word for word. Why don't you share what you think he was saying? Providing a quote might help if you want to substantiate your claim I'm getting it wrong.

@SAPPERsurvivialism Watched it. First, the audience member was so much of a soft ball it almost looks like a plant - trying to give him room to backpeddle. Second, all he's saying is he's not LITERALLY jesus becuase jesus was a "separate entity" and that there is a christ consciousness that is dwindling which he's a manifestation of and its dwindling is what's causing global problems.

Congratulations. You've made me think he's even crazier than ever.

@Stairc No disrepect but you're wrong in the sense you think he is trying to backpeddle, when I first heard that David said that he was the "son of god"..I, like you, thought the guy was a quack, I watched an interview where he was confronted with the question "explain how you are the son of god" by an audience member, once hearing him break it down I think most people take it out of context.

1) Last I checked, that's definitely how both I who have watched the interview and most everyone else interpreted it. It seems strange that a journalist and public communicator, often hailed for his clarity and charisma, would miscommunicate so severely as to fool everyone. It seems more reasonable to assume he meant it and is now trying to backpeddle.

2) Even if he didn't, you can pick from dozens of other insane things he believes on no real evidence.
