  • No band will ever be this amazing. Robert Plant beats Freddie Mercury, Jimmy Page beats Jimi Hendrix, John Paul Jones beats Cliff Burton, and John Bonham beats Neil Peart. All the musicians you can name will be forever under Led Zeppelin. All four members of Led Zeppelin are something beyond gods. Hell, they deserve their own category.

  • @Gmancrap: Music is not about the age, its about the feel you get when you listen.. Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands ever.. people 40 years back are limited by the development of that age. today anyone can create music sitting in his home and thats not the real talent. Jimmi Page is one of the best guitarists of all time and his compositions are extremly outstanding.. Those great talented people made real music, not like the crap which comes out nowadays..

  • @RockerForLife74 their great, but all of the artists you named are a lot better.

  • OOOH BABY!!!!

  • Well , I think that Neil peart is so so different on the drums ( progresive ) , but Buddy rich , Ian paice are great drummers of that years also but much more clean and speeds than bonham , bonham was so powerful on the drums and about bass guitar you have to hear in live to roger glover I think that is a great bass man who could be compare with paul jones , jimmy page was amazin in live in the 70s more than Blackmore who until the 90s take all his best

  • I have to say that even though we all have our favorite guitarists, drummers and singers, Zeppelin is what happened when some of the best formed a band. Individually they could be trumped by others who play their instrument, but together they are pretty hard to beat.

  • to compair musicians and say whos better or best shows a lack of understanding of music itself. rockerforlife.....if u are, u should know this.

  • @JustinDavidPierce

In full agreement. The problem is the record executives; sticking with the same formula to keep their jobs and investors happy. Mediocrity kills creative genius.

  • To be dead honest, no band from 1997 and forward has been groundbreaking. Godsmack became generic, Disturbed is now generic (EVERY SONG SOUNDS JUST LIKE THEIR OTHERS!!!) Nickelback( They ran out of talent years ago), rappers (They all talk about the same themes in their songs), Pop music (VERY GENERIC), and the rock music of today known as screamo (No talent in screaming. Or death metal). The closest thing we have to genuine bands who are talented is 30 Seconds To Mars. Long live ZoSo~

  • Here is some truth (And whoever disagrees with me is just another victim to music nowadays): I took 7 modern bands from each genre of music, 7 songs, and put them together, Well guess what? Each band had the same characteristics as each of its counterparts. The same chords, same tight knit drum pattern, same riffs and drives. Same vocal sounds as well, some just scream a bit more than others. So for all of you: YES. Today's music is not groundbreaking.

  • the white dragon suit + the danelectro '59 = candy for my eyes
