240/415 V; 100 A supply from a large townhouse in central London.

The building is heated primarily by night-storage heaters, hence the reason for providing a 70 kW supply.

Meter is an ABB E 43B3B-RH
Timeswitch is a Horstmann V Mk7

Note that a separate contactor is needed to switch the heaters as the time-switch is single phase and would not accept the load of the heaters.

Individual phases from the unswitched (main) supply go to individual 240 V distribution panels on each floor of the house (not shown).

  • Awesome video. Nice meter and time clock set up.

Thanks for showing and the detailed explanation of all equipment involved

  • Very Nice!! I wish that my GEC 3ph, dual tariff meter was direct-wired, I may have been able to use it then! :-)

The thing is though, my one needs CTs to work correctly. OK, so that does mean that it'll be able to take a bigger load than this one, which I suppose, in the right setting, is a bonus.

ALSO! Nice to see a Horstmann Vmk 7SRS in service there! YAY! I own a few of those, as you probably know by my vids.

Nice upload, I do like those MEM 'exel' isolators. Drool......
