@berealandstaytrue who did a prime tyson really fight..? a 38 year old larry holmes...blah.. spink lmao, spink had brown skid marks on those white trunks before the bell even rang..sadly for lewis and tyson, there was no really great heavy weights in the 80s, there were some good fighters, i mean there not pro,s for nothing, but who was about ?
-
@dean24uk sorry dumb ass u didnt read it properly i put in cap locks but still didnt register, UNDEFEATED undisputed heavyweight champ. lewis had a loss and a draw on rec before he became champ. and foreman has called many fighters the greatest of all time dont go by his judgement. Lewis had a lucky draw for fights, were the fuck was he at 21 - 28 waiting for the good champs to get old
-
@berealandstaytrue you fool, He became undisputed champion after defeating Evander Holyfield in November 1999 dont talk to me you know fuck all a record is kept for a reason, thats what, and PROFESIONALS have called him a legend, not my words theres, but you are too thick to research before you open your mouth, foreman said lewis is one oif the best heavyweights of all time, and he was,
-
@dean24uk what records got to do with anything michael spinks has a better record than lewis something like 30 fights 1 defeat! its about the path they take what they achieve! lewis fought people out of prime and on his terms!! do u kno what a legend is, ali foreman tyson because in one stage of their career they were the UNDISPUTED UNDEFEATED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP, thats what seperates legends from champs
-
@berealandstaytrue you need to put the crack pipe down,, lewis has one of the best boxing records in the sport, much better than tysons, you fool go check it out,,
-
@bigmoney749 yea he did 4 years in jail the another 19 months off after the lewis fight, he never ducked lewis it was the two promoters that didnt agree on terms, lewis ducked ruiz thats why he gt stripped of his belt. tyson record is much better than lewis he fought better people amd did alot more for the sport.
-
@berealandstaytrue You wouldn't happen to be Tim Tebow in reality, would you? Tyson did not take six years out of the ring prior to fighting Lewis. Idk where you got that from. Also, fighters are judged on their entire careers, not their careers up to their first loss. 41-2-1 is better than 50-6 1NC. Also, Tyson was supposed to fight Lewis in 1996 but Mike ducked him and even paid him $4 million when Lewis sued him for loss of earnings.

@bigmoney749 something tyson can say i was undefeated undisputed heavy weight champ, legends can say that im afriad lewis cant, hel be another anyday champ, he fought a tyson that had taken 6 years out of the ring mainly down to islam the evil of this world
-
@bigmoney749 tyson was a better champion will be remember as a much better champion and if we take skill tyson has everything a boxer needs, mike will be remembered in yrs to come generations like frazier and ali im affraid lewis wont hahahahahahahahahhaahhahahahah
ahahahah -
its simple they were both kids had no money both chasing the dream to become the champ, and tyson fucked lewis up and then went on to become the champ, he didnt have a father and lewis had that fat mum always around to help him.
Tyson became the undisputed UNDEFEATED heavyweight champ then don king took over fucked his head with that horrid religion islam and ever since allah came into his life tyson flame that cus created was then over
Tyson forever
Tyson did not have more skill than Lewis
ya lewis relied on his size and reach because he could, but tyson relied on his speed and power because he could
those arnt skills
Lewis was more skilled because he had a better technique and controlled the ring, dictating the fight, makin his opponents fight his fight, and lose because of it.
Tyson could only be successful as an aggressor and if that didnt work, like against lewis, he was out of options
Mike couldnt control the fight like Lennox could

@403766 I agree totally. I liked Tyson very much and loved to see him fight, but in my book, lewis is the best heavyweight of his era. He was clearly ready to continue against Oliver McCall when the ref stopped it and the lucky punch against Hasim Rahman was pretty well revenged in the rematch. Of course he uses his size as you mention. That´s why we have middleweights, so smaller guys can box too :-)
