Picturing My Life

A very quick overview of my life. I actually have very few photos of myself, from any period, so there were not many to pick from. It was interesting, however, to put together. As i said in the video, in doing so I found myself caught up in a complex mix of emotions - an intertwining of sadness and sweetness, of loss and love. As we get older the past becomes less an antagonist, something to push off against and find distance from, but rather it became - at least for me, at least for now - something to draw near to with a sense of deep affection.

I do not know if I will leave this up for very long, for a host of reasons.....but at least for a little while.

This montage is really something else. I enjoyed the comments you posted on the pics as much as the pics themselves. I went back a few times and rewatched. You look like you were a happy child and yes, I can see how you emulated your mother.

Especially sweet is the message of this video. I am verly gald you took the time to put this together and that you did take something away from it, despite your wondering of it's purpose.

Thank you for the pictures and especially the message in this video. I've been fighting my past memories a lot lately, and I don't know why. I find myself thinking, "Is there something back there that I need?"

I often try to imagine meeting who I was at different periods and began to realize that I would offer that person my love, and a warm hug, and say 'hey, look.....it turned out ok. 'We' made it." @unmeasuredinstances Thank you so much for your comment. I've often imagined meeting my past self also and giving her a hug, a similar pep talk, and raising her chin. This may not make any sense, but *I* needed *me* back then. I wish I could have accessed my future self years ago, but then again, we might be our own guardian angels, and I was there anyway. Maybe, as such, I was there all along ensuring that I didn't do something stupid like do myself in.LOL
