Dateline: Disneyland (Part 3)

Part 3 of the Disneyland opening special continues with the opening of Tomorrowland where Walt Disney read the dedication and then it gives you a tour of the attraction that took place in 1986 which was 25 years past that Halley's Comet was passed the Earth, but it will return again in 2061, Tomorrowland contains the Autopia, the Aluminum Telescope, and a game of ping-pong balls flying around by a mousetrap and last but not least, the Conquest of Space where they go on a rocketship into space for a brief tour. This was before "Star Tours" came along. That ends Tomorrowland for now.

This special was aired on ABC 56 years ago today back in 1955 when Disneyland opened its gates. This was taped off of Disney Channel back in the late 90's as part of "Vault Disney" and it was included as part of the "Walt Disney Treasures" series of DVD's entitled "Disneyland USA".

Coming up in part 4 will be Fantasyland.
