They tried all of the same methods on other wells before, not even drilled this deep. Also, it could take several stabs at it, to hit the target @ 30,000 feet into the earth.
They need to shut that well down a helluva lot quicker. Nuke It :)

Well Mike Adams,this was uploaded on day 11 of the spill....it is now day 58 and the leak is still going strong and and the daily volume of the oil has gone from 5000 gallons a day to 40,000.
