You need to get your head out of your arse more like. Oil is non renewable and thus it is not an option for us to be using it forever. We need to find a way to live without depending on non renewable recources.

@Newbpwng yes man these americans are crazy they complain about cheap gas ,even eastern european countries have prices double than in US and the standard of living is 3-5 times lower ,these are crazy people and should be treated acordignly how can you even talk about polution when you have gas this cheap? a lot of bulshit i think that if an american candidate for presidency would propose to have gas prices like in europe he would get max 10% ,america is the land of lies about everything.

Granted. Oil is vital in the production of many varieties of plastic, but we still need to ween ourselves off oil in as many ways as we possibly can ("reduce the oil addiction to get the good ending" as players of the Flash game Oiligarchy* will tell you), which will allow us to stretch our remaining oil resources out much further and thus keep making plastic and thus keep having houses...

@Brulemonster79 Do you need your house? Do you need your refridgerator? All these 'countless items' you speak of, do you need them?
it's not so much about a world being without oil. it's about a world being without damaging production processes and corresponding consumer lifestyles.
it 's so much more than just oil...really. it's the whole western world upside down. look at libya, we see something going wrong there and we bomb it. even in the us some guy is saying now they're doing it for oil. can you imagine?
it's all about the old system staying intact as long as possible, unless the people do something.

thought it was funny when a guy is saying gas could be $4.00 per gallon, it is more than USD$5.00 in Australia and sky hasn't fallen in, maybe you guys in the US need to invest in Public Transport
