Hey guys, this is my Samick twelve string dreadnought guitar. I'll be demoing it in this video. Could've done better on the playing examples... Oh well! Hope you enjoy!

  • i'm soo gonna buy this guitar! the harmonics sound really nice. do you think this guitar is any good for the likes of Ocean - John Butler? (e.g double tapping) thanks :)

  • @Bindlossclun Well, if you can double-tap on a 12-string then I'd say so. Though just playing this guitar in general is a bit harder than most other 12-strings I've played (as far as firmly placing your fingers). But a lighter-gaged string set may improve the feel. Hope this helps!

  • I have the opportunity to buy the D-7 12. Would you recommend it? Its' my first 12 string, been playing for 14 years but only just getting serious about woods/tones.

  • @gregg441 I would recommend it. It sounds great! However, if you're being serious, I would suggest a body with solid wooden sides/back. It produces a much more solid tone, especially in a 12-string.

  • @gregg441 still a great guitar, though.

  • The "sparkle" the guy is talking about that his guitar is missing really has less to do with the fact the guitar has laminate back and sides, but more to do with the top being cedar as opposed to the more popular sitka spruce. Cedar tends to showcase the low-mids, while sitka is known more for a scooped tone with bass and highs being more prevalent. Cedar tends to be the preference for many fingerpickers who need more response from a light touch. Bryant

  • Lol, why is one of the tags 'sexy'? Lol, nice guitar though.

  • @108377 haha thats cool(:

  • @thecrazymusiclover14 hmm strange, you know I have the same guitar, the top is Solid Cedar wood, the back and sides are Rosewood, and the neck is mahogany !

    Great guitar ....

  • @108377 Oh, well he said it wasn't solid wood so that is why I said that.

  • @thecrazymusiclover14 it is solid wood on top ....

  • It is a really nice sounding guitar!! Even though it's not solid wood!

  • @iwillstompyourgrapes thanks for the tip :)
