I have bought a large container of almonds from costco and only ate a handful of them then left them on the shelf for months. I was cleaning out my shelf and found the jar with little webs and larvae & moths inside of it. How is something like this explained? The jar was sealed and only opened 2 times and closed immediately. How did they get in there, unless the eggs are present in most or all of our foods already. please explain this to me.
