Aired May 18, 2012. In studio with host Roger Bowman is Jim Charkins, an award-winning professor at California State University San Bernardino and the Executive Director of the California Council for Economic Education, who believes basic economics skills are among the most important reasoning tools we can teach our kids. He argues a cost-benefit analysis is used to assess every major decision in their lives, and it's never too early to begin imparting these concepts. He's also an engaging speaker who illustrates how he teaches ideas without complex jargon and formulas.
