Not that many people are buying movies these days. Blu ray is really really fucking good, its just that redbox and netflix are on top. DVD rentals and sales surpass blu ray so much and now the future is looking like downloading movies is the norm which according to the industry is coming up pretty strong. Blu ray is really almost dead. Its hard to notice the difference between a new dvd and a blu ray, also its hard to notice with lossless codecs too now.

Yeah right that’s why I have found the same colour artefact issue that are on most DVD titles the same as on Bluray! = EPIC FAIL FOR PICTURE!
Next up the film mixes and I don’t give a scum cunt rats fuck if its lossless! The films mostly DOLBY ones are not being fucking converted to dtsHDMA = EPIC FUCKING CUNT FUCK FAIL!
I will never ever buy another fucking BLURAY PIECE OF SHIT EVER! FUCK STAR WARS ON BLURAY AS WELL!

why don't u people shut up and admit that blu-ray has the best quality at the moment.
u all know it but people are jealous or something.
Even a 4 years old child can make the difference and admit that the B-ray looks better.....just compare it.
My movies in B-ray format look stunning, a quality that HD-DVD never had.
And when i say compare , i mean buy an original b-ray and try it on a full HD TV, not some lame internet copy.
People talk shit but neve tried.

Blu ray has won, end of story. MUCH more storage space, newer and better tech, more resistant to scratches and all the big studios backing it. PS3 has helped (and will do so in making it a mainstream standard) win this war and overall its what the people want.

Long movies like the Lotr trioligy won´t work on HD-DVD they will have to cut down the quality to make it fit in those pitful 30 gb..
