Manchester charity for the homeless, Lifeshare, who The Co-operative Group is supporting as part of its new head office plans has had its offices transformed just in time for Christmas. The project means that the charity will be able to better serve its client base of homeless and disadvantaged people in Manchester and Salford.
The renovation included a new kitchen, carpets, decoration and lighting. Designed by architects 3DReid -- also responsible for the unique design of the Group's new head office -- the work was completed by BAM construction, using a group of local apprentices who will also be working on The Co-operative's new head office over the next 18 months.
Representatives from the Group, including Martyn Hulme, Director of Co-operative Estates, and Michael Fairclough, Head of Community and Campaigns, met the Lifeshare team and some of their clients at their newly renovated offices in the Northern Quarter, to find out more about the charity's work and what the renovation will mean to them.
