"Robocop" Reboot Gets Screenwriter

The Robocop Re-boot has a writer -- you may not have heard of him yet but you soon will!

Hey There, I'm Chelsea Cannell coming to you from our headquarters in Hollywood with another Clevver Movies Update! We've been following the Robocop re-boot and we can now report that this film is moving forward with Joshua Zetumer now signed on to write. Zetumer's rise to Robocop started with a few spec scripts called Infiltrator and Villain which got him a nod on the blacklist in both 2006 and 2007. After that he was on his way to writing dialogue for Bond and Bourne. The way he explains it "One day he was cleaning up after a lawyer's maid and then the next he was writing dialogue on a cocktail napkin and it landed in a bond movie!"

So now Zetumer will join Jose Padilha who has signed on to direct the reboot. Now we must ask- will all the re-boots headed to the big screen, is Robocop one you're planning to see? Give us the deets in our comment section and then make sure and click subscribe for more updates on this project.

Robocop is my all time favorite movie. I just hope that the reboot is not full of shitty ass CG. I want a guy wearing a bad ass costume running around shooting in real life. And I want an R rating like the original robocop was. I know robocop came to be family friendly somehow but I want a reboot to be just as gritty and bloody as the original.

well said I cant remember this movie but It DID do well, but it was like 25 years old so yes hollywood is out of ideas. Only Tarantino is the exception to that.

No reboot is required. Only poor movies need a reboot.

The Robocop movies were very enjoyable to me. I understand that Robocop 3 was the last sequel because of the poor box office performance. I hope that the reboot does better in the box office than ever before. I hope that a Robocop vs terminator is made because that could be a huge hit for a box office performance because when similar protagonists are united in the same film, films like that usually do well in the box office like The Expendables.
