Banning Guns by Changing Definitions, Part 4
One of the most important things about this ATF "study" and proposed shotgun importation ban is that it lays the groundwork for much broader, general shotgun restrictions. Importation is not the only place where federal gun laws apply this unconstitutional "sporting purpose test," it is also found in the National Firearms Act (NFA), the laws dealing with machineguns and destructive devices. Under the NFA, any firearm with a bore greater than .5 inch is a "destructive device" -- in the same category as mortars and Howitzers. The only exception is for "shotguns which the secretary finds are generally recognized as particularly suitable for sporting purposes." If the secretary (in this case Attorney General Eric Holder) finds that certain shotguns are not importable because they are unsuitable for sporting purposes he must then explain why virtually identical guns, with the same features, are considered suitable for sporting purposes with regard to the NFA. How can he declare them non-sporting on the one hand and not declare identical guns as non-sporting on the other?

Take Action to Stop Gun Ban
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is seeking public comment on their recent "study" on the importability of certain shotguns. It is critical that rights supporters express their objections to this "study" and its pending implementation in no uncertain terms. A strong showing of opposition can help to stiffen the spines of members of Congress and a poor showing will absolutely be pointed to as proof that people support expanded importation bans.

Man 'died after wandering into crocodile waters'
David Lubisi, 40, was eaten alive after he entered the Lepelle river following an argument with his girlfriend, detectives believe.

Mr Lubisi's sister Esther told the newspaper she did not believe here brother waded in deliberately and must have been pushed into the river.

Global warming must be true, Charles Manson believes in it.
The infamous killer, who started championing environmental causes from behind bars, bemoaned the 'bad things' being done to environment in a rambling phone interview from his Californian jail cell.
'Everyone's God and if we don't wake up to that there's going to be no weather because our polar caps are melting because we're doing bad things to the atmosphere. If we don't change that as rapidly as I'm speaking to you now, if we don't put the green back on the planet and put the trees back that we've butchered, if we don't go to war against the problem...'

LOSS AND TIME TO GET RIGHT ~ Skipper4488

I travel the world weekly and I can say first hand that the rest of the world truly does not understand American's obsession with guns. They hear of all the senseless killings in schools, our murder rates and and massive crime rates and think we're barbarians. With over 300 millions guns in the country now, I'd say gun manufacturers can take some time off!

@martinbparker Well, it is our right to keep and bear arms. Most of the responsible people who follow the law do not go around shooting up schools or random people. Those would be the criminals that would have the guns even if the law abiding public could not.

They do that and people are going to go nuts in this country!

@MzDragonfyre I think people would go nuts at this point. Seriously. Some people are at their breaking point, that is something that could send someone over the edge.
