Iberdloa Renewables recently won the City of Portland and the Oregon Consular Corps 2010 International Business Award in recognition of their international business investment. The purpose of the award is to unite Portland's diverse international community and to celebrate the city's ties and trade relationships with other countries.

"The city's economic development strategy calls out our commitment to recognize international investors for their leadership in community development and job creation," said Mayor Sam Adams.

  • Just got laid off by the company... The stateside operations are actually pretty high... 1.5 GW total production across 19 states... I bet if we lowered the cost to do business in this country, I would not have lost my job

  • Iberdrola is headquartered in Spain not Portland. Their USA offices are in Portland, but still, they are a foreign enterprise with mostly foreign business and operations. There stateside operations are relatively new.
