Wishbass 1068 demonstration

A demonstration of my recently refinished and modified and now sold Wishbass, serial #1068.

I took this one outside to be one with nature - crickets are in the correct key too!

This bass has a walnut body and maple and purpleheart through neck. The scale is 34".

ive heard that people have problems with the finishes from WishBass. Did you refinish purely for pleasure or were you dissatisfied with the way it came?

@darrenedesignedu The bass pretty much comes unfinished - 'enough lacquer to stop the beer getting through'.

It came totally playable, but it's fun to have such a neat starting canvas....

which wishbass model is that? a custom?

@Pappasgrind well pretty much every Wishbass is a custom one-off, but this started life as a 'Claw' but as part of the refinish I restyled the upper and lower bouts a little.

im actually talking to mr wish right now about having this bass built for me as a fretted 6er with 2 emg 45dcs and an emg bqc system, as well as single string bridges. was your neck very thick, it didnt look that bas when you did a close up, but ive heard of these things having thicker necks then warwicks. im going to have mine shaved down a bit and have him put a truss rod in. he said itll cost me $600!! thats crazy! what did you use to finish it with
