Irish Sapphire
Who is this stallion you ask??

He is one of the most gorgeous stallions I meet. I loved Gypsies a really long time so it was sure that I had looking for a Gypy as model for my photography.
I had looking around all over the world wide web also asked oweners BUT I hadn't found the right one. Then I found the website www.irish-cob.de HIS website. I had loved him from the very first moment on he simple looks gorgeous!!! A perfect build and for me the most important a totally sweet and lovely face!!!!
I wrote his owner Ursula Flink if I can have a photoshoot with him and she direct answers „SURE"
We made a date so I meet him first and see the locations around the stable. I arrived firsts Ursula wasn't there BUT a nice lady had already know that there will come a photographer for their Bobby how Irish Sapphire is called at his home and had lead me to his stall... he a stallion, breeding stallion was at a stall where he can looking out at the stable lane fully open NO bars or anything like this and everybody was able to touch him. You can do this not with all breeding stallions!
When I stand next to him he direct came with his face to me „Hey who are you?" totally sweet he was and carefull.

Some weeks later we had our shoot and not alone no we was going out in the fields with two friesians a gelding and a mare and Bobby was simple great. There was a mare but he is a well raised stallion and so a nice trail together with a mare isn't a problem for him.

He is approved with the rhineland and westfalia studbook as with the European Coloured Horses Association - Europäischer Scheckenzucht -- Verband.
At his stallion testing he got really good points.
Walk 8,0 trot 8,5 canter 9,0 temparament 8,5

We just done a second shoot with him and his trail buddies the two friesians and I even loved him more (don't tell this my own boy) one is sure it wasn't the last shoot with that great and charming men.

OH and maybe I have to mention.... my dad who is actually not a horsi people had always called Gypsies, „cows" because of their colour since he meet Bobby I never ever heared him telling them that like!!!

Enjoy the video.

  • er ist wunderschön

    he is very nice

  • gypsy cobs can be any colour actually, and theyre called gypsies because they were started by the gypsy famillies. also theyre cheaper than show cobs here.

  • wow so is so pretty! how do you keep her so white? and her tail?

  • Gypsy cobs are just piebald cobs, really. The term Gypsy was part of a marketing scam to try and make them more expensive. I still think they're beautiful, but Gypsies and piebald cobs are basically the same thing really.

  • va trokig:(

  • Wow he's totally gorgeous I wish I had a horse! DDD:
