Depeche Mode - "Little 15" Cover (YouTube Collaboration)

I hope you enjoy this unique cover of Depeche Mode's "Little 15". I came across AkatomieMusic's rendition with no vocals and I had to record with it. With Akatomie's permission, I have posted it here for you all to experience. The arrangement is superb to say the least.

Little 15 is a story of a 15 year-old boy being seduced by an older woman; although it's been widely mistaken that it's the other way around.

Atakomie's cover was, in my opinion, more fitting than the original for this story and I wanted to add my artistic spin by creating a character which was the same boy all grown up trying to tell himself what is going on from the future. So, I made the vocals sound a bit distant and eerie as if his future self was explaining life to him... warning him... at least this particular part of life.

@agitjob I wanted to give a feeling of a voice inside the boy's head.... a voice of reason. So, it's distant and almost eerie in nature because it's not from a real person. It's basically and older version of himself telling him he has much to learn.

I think you did a good job interpreting the song, and performing it in a style that suited your interpretation :). The vocals do sound distant and to an extent, lacking a little in emotion, but it seems that was the distant and eerie effect you were aiming for - the boy's future self who is the cool and collected voice of reason for the boy in his present state. I think it's really great that you put such thought into the song. Good work :).
