@shadetyped There are five ranges of combat ; Kicking range, Punching range, Trapping range, Body to body standing and body to body on the ground.
BJJ does NOT cover anything beyond body to body range. That is a good part of the reason it is inferior.
The BJJ dogma also states that the vast majority of fights end up on the ground. This is also false.
BJJ has its place. It is a good martial art. It is not however a combat effective style that you can utilize on the street vs multiple opponents

im pretty sure BJJ( Brazilian jiu-jitsu) is all around better then hap ki do. but im no saying it sucks, hap ki do is still pretty awesome!

having done both, id say its like comparing apples and oranges. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. I love each for what they are, and know that having done both im a better and more rounded martial artist than if i had only done one.
