After washing the Buick, the boss took us for a little spin in his 1948 Roadmaster Sedan around Maple Valley, Wa. Towards the end of the video, we pull in the driveway and there is a peacock there. we encourage him to hit it and he nearly does.

  • Yeah..older Buicks tended to heat up a lot. This was a problem.

  • No such thing as a !945 buick .

  • anyone have the idea what would be the price of a running 45 buick?

  • pretty decent sir

  • @xionlim21 You can have A./C. installed on your car through a company called "VintageAir". It may take away a little power from the engine but, on the open road, you will not notice it and the trade-off is well worth it. Installed for around $3,000.00. Not a bad price. Take out a personal loan.

  • The older you two young guys get, the more you will appreciate the ride you just got in this gorgeous automobile. Trust me on that. In 1948, this Buick was considered one of the best cars available on the market, at any price.

  • Why does it get hot? I thought mine is just broken but upon watching this video, is there a way to keep the temperature low? aside from installing air condition?

  • I would be proud to own one of these!

  • GREAT ORIGINALl car! - Buicks of the 40's are my favorite cars. '48 was the last year you could get standard 3 speed on Roadmaster. I love the way the transmission sounds through the gears - it's something I remember as a young kid. The directional signal lever is on the same side as the gear shift in 48. I can't get over how big the steering wheels were.

  • Going 75 I can hear that 4.3 axle ratio turning the straight 8 about 3,100 RPM! I love the sound of those 40's GM transmissions through the gears!
