Great Spotted Woodpecker female had pecked several holes to a pole. She used the holes as a holder for a pine cones so that she could pick pine seeds more easily from a pine cone.

Video shot with Canon 600d + ancient Tamron 70-300 zoom lens. Also 3x digital zoom applied which explain the increased video noise. ISO was about 800.

  • Nicely described, how far the recording, belongs subdued that knock.

  • @my35Xvision Thanks my friend!

  • Fantastic captures! Beautiful birds... We do not have them here - some different species but not these ones.

Happy days and more great captures, my friend. :)
