When my 3 month old granddaughter is crying this song calms her. She stops crying every single time I put it on, and she watches the video with great intensity. The first time I discovered it, she stopped crying and I started! Gives the song even more meaning for me. She is my little speedyhead and she could be the youngest REM fan. What a wonderful song, what a wonderful band.

Ive spent the last week reflecting on REM. I was there in the southern college bars where they were all that blared through the stereo. This song is genious as are so many of their others. A lot of people dont understand when I say that they are a band that will stand the test of time. Like the Beatles. Like the Stones. Like Zeppelin. REM could actually be better.
