What happened at the U.S. embassy in Kabul?

The U.S. embassy in Afghanistan has announced that eight of the security guards involved in controversial behavior like partying and drinking have been fired. Two of the guards also resigned. The embassy says they've banned alcohol from the premises and now they've even assigned their own guards to watch those private security guards.
