Based upon the curriculum in our Graduate School of International Policy and Management, the Global Trade and Development Program is custom designed for upper-level undergraduate students, prospective graduate students, and beginning professionals interested in increasing their knowledge of global trade and development issues.
Program content is delivered by policy and business faculty at the Monterey Institute and covers the economic underpinnings of global trade, laws and institutions related to this field, and the relationship between trade and international development issues ranging from the environment to labor standards.
Program includes site visits to international organizations based in Central California in the fields of trade, agriculture, technology, and development. Participants will also receive one-on-one career strategy services from the Monterey Institute career advising team.
