Scientific dogma is not superior to religious dogma, and they are only opposites in much the same way that the political left is the opposite of the political right. As such, the mistake the presenter here makes is the same one made so many years ago by Rand: an assumption of equivalency between science and reason.

Reason is the only pursuit which is capable of producing unequivocal truth; science, which relies on instrumentation (eyes, ears, microscopes), is incapable of doing so.

A popularist book on cultural religion, sociology and philosophical theology from someone who is a layman in all those areas. If this were the height of atheism I would claim it completely irrational. Luckily I know of some intellectual atheists so I won't go that far.
