I love how these guys mic their amps in their demos. I freaggin' hate how most people do "amp demos" and they use a bas digital camera. That reallly doesnt do much justice for any amp, at all. I say if youre going to do an amp demo, mic your amp. Or don't do one at all. (:

@CREWDOG289 My biggest complaint with all the other heads I've tried is the amps own distortion. Nothing had the deep, clear distortion & always required an OD pedal at all times or just using the clean channel with a Distortion box in front. This is the 1st amp I've ever used where the amps own distortion is so incredibly deep, defined, & versatile. I only use OD pedals for solo boosting or playing on clean channel when I want a more vintage blues tone.This amp absolutely has it all.

@CREWDOG289 I paid $4,100.00 without tax for a brand new Herbert head. I bought it from an authorized dealer from Florida to avoid taxes since I live in California. I'm using two 4x12 Marshall 1969 Vintage cabs. I already had them long before plus the Diezel cabs are around $1200-$1300 each. I heard the Diezel cabs produce a much clearer, punchy tone; but the Marshalls work extremely well. I use the Series FX loop for all my pedals except I use OD pedals & a phaser in front...

I've owned this amp almost 5 years. I have to say this video is a very accurate representation to how it actually sounds. I've played almost 10 years lead guitar, played in 2 bands & have gigged probably around 100 shows & I'm only 23 years old. Guitar has been in my blood & I am an absolute tone chaser. After owning numerous Marshalls, a Mesa Dual & Triple Rectifier,Peavey 5150 (2), & playing dozens of other Head models..I have finally found my ultimate amp, the Herbert is bar none my favorite.

@moronslave I just checked -- The killer price is (retail) $4499 USD for the head alone. That brought a tear to my eye.

@nisselon agree with you bro!
stereo .... only one microphone.......hmm... they have used the old recording trick of recording the guitar track and duplicatiting it in f.ex. in Logic so you´ve got two identical tracks but you move the other track very very little to the left or right and panning the trax 100% left and right so you got the nice feel of a overdubbed guitar ....... if you would remove one of these trax in this clip it would sound nothing like it does now.... sorry .....

2 mics...one close mic 57 on the cab, one akg 451in the room that you cant see, for ambience.
the "reverb and delay" is the room sound and distance from the cab.
so yes it was recorded and panned in stereo, but the youtube compression combined the tracks and turned it into something else...
no old tricks here.
