I absolutely love Jamie Fraser but always had a problem imagining his "long thin nose" as a handsome trait as described in the books - I now can aussi Alex O'loughlin (Irish Scotts decent) would be a perfect older Jamie. I think you will need two actors. Love Ewen, but not big or rugged enough.

thx for exploring Jamie's actor. Im in left field. Being older I envision Jamie as Pierce Brosnan. True it is easier to age an actor than make him young. Can they cast Gerard B as young Jamie, then Pierce B as mature Jamie? Makeup can do a lot.
