  • We SHOULD ban C because this is the letter the word "socialism" starts with.

  • Do you know why his polls are dropping so swiftly?

    It's because he's not superman.

He can't fix very much when he's in a fucking shit economy, and with people who cry and moan and whine every time he does something.

And it really doesn't help when people start circulating these "Death Panels" as if they were fact.

  • @upabittoolate What are you arguing! i all ready said hes a jackass. Take your head out of this mans ass. You are obviously just blindly arguing on behalf of your beloved pundit. Politics is for the big boys?? are you 12? or mike from the jersey shore? And again, what about Obama? Your right, politics is only for those who are articulate and talk as fast as they can like Olbermann. With the exception of George Bush, who occupied the highest political office for 8 years.

  • @ewyguewyboy You didn't "prove" anything. You simply presented an opinion. Whether or not I accept it is elective on my part. I'll type it slowly for you.

Irrespective of who's pompous, you can't deny the substance of the argument. Glenn Beck is trying to swing swords that he's incapable of wielding. He's a little boy trying to wear Dad's shoes. It may seem cute. But politics is for the big boys. Now isn't it?

  • @upabittoolate no, i proved my point and then went on to mock you. Now didn't I?

  • In essence, Beck needs an intellectual high chair. Complain about the analogies all you like. In the end, you're exposing the fact that you'd rather not engage the substantive parts, just the rhetorical tools I'm using. Way to miss the point.

Oh, by the way, I don't care if I DO come off as pompous. What counts is WHAT I'm saying. Not how I'm saying it.

You'll probably argue that I'm making the same error as Beck. The difference is that I own a dictionary & can actually spell "oligarch".

  • @ewyguewyboy Nonsense. 6hrs a day isn't some kind of excuse. A jackass is a jackass. Uneducated is uneducated. You're trying to act like fatigue is an appropriate explanation. No 1 let Obama off the hook for talking about his "muslim faith", his "57 states" or the teleprompter incident.

You're talking about my use of "cliches"? Show me where I used ONE. What I'm saying is that if Beck can't even spell "oligarch" then I don't expect him to contextualize it. Yes. It's a 5yo in his dad's shoes.

  • @upabittoolate YOU missed the point. Yes, beck is a jackass. However, if Olbermann has 6 hours of Beck a day to scrutinize and all he can come up with is Beck accidentally leaving a letter out of a word, he hasn't necessarily evinced beck's stupidity. If anything, it goes to show Beck's efficiency. You use cliche and poorly framed analogies, but somehow it doesn't change the fact that you come off as pompous. now does it?

  • @baretree298 Bear in mind that we're talking about a conservative who thought he was being clever but actually managed to make himself look silly but poorly scribin' the word "oligarch". When he was still on the air, liberals watched Olbermann's show. 1 of the cliches used to knock on liberals is that they're elitist. Olbermann went to Cornell. That's a far cry from EKU.

  • @ewyguewyboy That's not the point. The point is that Beck is extremely uneducated. It's kinda like when I was 5 & I tried to walk around in my Dad's sz13 shoes. It's like someone trying to school you on something & he's using broken English.

Who cares if Beck does 6hrs a day? If it's not quality programming the amount of time he spends matters not. Olbermann may come off as pompous but that doesn't change Beck's stupidity. Now does it?

  • Hey, he got Ivy League education, dude.
