@amaya1792 This campaign that my friend and i started did make a difference. Due to the renewed awareness that there were children in need more people volunteered to help different abuse agencies and donations showed a slight increase. If that isn't important to you then tell that to the children who were lucky enough to be helped by a child abuse agency (because of the money and voluteers this campaign raised)

No it didn't directly stop any child abusers. That was not the point to stop child abuse. The point was simply to raise awareness. With everyone changing their pictures and changing their statuses to ask other people to join more people became aware of the actual threat of child abuse in out nation. You can not start a cause if it has not been advertised, and thats what this campaign was, advertising the fact that as americans we care and making sure that everyone knows that child abuse really

who cares... it's your own Facebook profile. Do whatever you want to do with it. Just don't bother telling other people to change there own profile picture. Let them find it out for themselves. Just have fun..

My thoughts exactly. People's hearts are in the right place, but it doesn't really help anyone. People are giving themselves too much credit. And the bra color and purse thing really pissed me off because it was supposed to raise Breast Cancer Awareness, but it was a "Secret" from men....when in reality, men can get breast cancer too. Then women would tease men when they didn't know what it meant. Ugh, the stupidity.
