We passed that area many times, I always told my wife it looked like it was some kind of amusement park. I never knew it really was. A couple of weeks ago we passed it again, nothing but dry grass, no buildings. Very sad. Its amazing to have all these pictures of what once was. Thank you for sharing the memories!

I have so many fond memories going to Playland, as a child, in the mid-late 60's. It's sad to see what it is now. How wonderful it would be if things like this could go on forever.

Yep, sure do remember them. The"Little Dipper" roller coaster was my favorite ride.

Now my memory is cooked, but was there not a place called Kiddie Land park?

@pulgabros Same here. Do you remember the little hand cranked cars that ran on a train track? That was the coolest ride ever designed.

What ever happened to the clock at PLAYLAND PARK??? The clock I'm talking about is at the 2:39 Mark. Was it destroyed or was it saved? It was the only intact artifact from the Original Playland Park that wasn't removed from the park
Kiddie Park is actually still open just down the street. I thought the hand crank carts were the best too.
