  • Electrifying! Vishnevskaya's Tatyana is like Callas' Norma -- vocally more secure in earlier days, much richer and more detailed later on.

P.S. If Ognivtsev is the Gremin, could you please post his aria?

  • Eto luchshaja Tatjana za vsju istoriju muzyki!!!

  • Vishnevska is the heifetz of the Russian opera, her Tatjana is the absulute olympic top. The other sopranos[specially the not Russian prima donas are singing in a level of schuller leistung.

  • Tovarisz "amneris" and "unobarto",you are surely bad singers. You at the age of 58 will 100% not be able to sing at all and it's only envy that makes you "criticizing",better to say, insulting the great singers.Vishnevskaya is the last real Russian opera soprano. And you are simply the shit.Не позорьте себя и свою страну,лучше молчите "нафик" в тряпочку и научитесь грамотно писать русский мат,"фиг" пишется с буквой "г",не путайте сo словом "фак",наверно,единственным,которое вы знаете по-английски.

  • Agreed with Amneris777. Absolutley!

  • ah Galina. Yevgeny remains my favourite opera, and I am glad to see a video in the original Russian without Hvorostovsky and Focile or Allen all of the time. Russian is so erotic!!!!! Anyway I agree with E19103 I love the slow tempi. I want to throw cabbage on the stage when conductors drive the orchestra like Ride of the Valkyries.

  • Simply glorious. What expression & phrasing Galina has! What supurb voice & feeling Mazurok had then (early 1970's ?).

I suspect Rostropovich was in the pit guiding these painfully beautiful, slow tempi. The singers are comfortable with the long lines these tempi produce. Kak bliska :-)

  • Clearly this is beautiful!
