So recently, I heard Jennifer Lopez - On the Floor for the very first time. It's relatively new, to my knowledge. It came out this year (2011). When I heard it, I absolutely could not believe my ears.
It's not like the song was that unique. In fact, it was quite the opposite. The music behind the chorus is EXACTLY the same as an old song from 1989 that I have laying around my computer (McCoolbeat - Lambada Robat). Seriously, it's uncanny!
This is where the similarities end, though, and it's entirely possible that it's a complete coincidence. After all, I find it hard to believe that J-LO listens to demo tunes :P
Who knows?

(It's in a ZIP file in .MOD format with a bunch of other songs, which are all awesome by the way!)
No shit Sherlock
The song you're looking for is called "Lambada" sang by the band Kaoma, it's not that stupid remix you've posted. And just for the record the original version is even older and it's called "Llorando se fue" sang by a Bolivian band called Los Kjarkas.
Jennifer Lopez has payed for the sample and the original song and its creators are mentioned in the credits of "On The Floor". She very openly talks about what you just "discovered".

im not sure jay lo listens to music at all, but im sure her songwriter does listen to stuff like this so he can sample / murder it.
