Part one: Battir stories, people and culture worth remembering.
• Crossing the territory of the village is a railway which connects Jerusalem with Jaffa, and can then move them to many of the Palestinian territories through a network of railways company carried out by France in favor of the Ottoman government ,and gained a reputation for the village as the last stop of the train to Jerusalem, was having its center of a neighboring villagers who wish to travel to Jerusalem to visit, work or sell their products in the same way and then return to the village and from there to the neighboring villages. And now it passes beside a school for children.
• You can see the fountains around the village it almost gives life with water to this village Then, we started walking down the valley. When we reached to the valley, we entered area C in order to reach Battir the area that is divided into two sides.
• The first side the mountains in Area C, which belongs to the village and the villagers, are allowed to build and cultivate. The second side is the mountains, which is considered as the 1948 lands. These lands of the 1948 had an agreement that only the inhabitants still have access to this side and they can only cultivate there but they cannot build.
