I used to be a second lieutenant in the army of Taiwan. We were not afraid of Chinese army at all. Actually I usually laughed at them privately because of their backward equipments. But now they are changing into a much more advanced country than before. Nobody dares to despise China. But Taiwan is Taiwan.
We still will fight for her although lots of dangers and difficulties before us.

so true, sometimes it comes down to strategy and not firepower.
The americans were VASTLY outnumbered and stretched thin. A simple PLA charge with all the troops they had does the trick, it helps when you outnumber your enemy to such a degree. Tanks are useless in the forests.
