  • Am I imagining it, or was Doug Dillard rolling a

    huge doobie?

  • Hi Ozzy,

It worked! Ha ha ha. Thanks for your post!

  • They said banjo playing leads to this. Worked

    for me, anyway.

This music really shines when you have that many instruments, doesn't it?

  • Are you going to tell me that you are related to Earl?

  • This is sweet-sounding music. Great to hear that ole Arlo's latter-day voice has hardly changed from that wonderful twang he had in the 60's. And the Dillards together with him -what can you say ... except that genuine talent never dies ; never really goes away !! A wonderfully enjoyable clip - thanks, jguth3, ....

  • Great video. I was lucky enough to jam backstage with the Dillards when they came to Scotland in the late seventies. Great guys. Thanks for posting.

  • @ozzyscruggs1 -- It sure looked like he was 4 sure!☺

  • Arlo's voice was made for the Dillards music.

  • Really enjoy the footage of Doug in this

  • The Dillards and Arlo Guthrie. The Dillards are worth looking up on iTunes or your favorite music downloader. They were on the Andy Griffith show in the early 60's as the Darlings. Later they were one of the first bands to combine rock drums and electric bass with Bluegrass. A big influence on later Country Rock bands of the 60's and 70's.

  • Saint Peter. Saint of reasons for doin' stuff when there aren't otherwise any.

  • FANTASTIK!

  • I gave it five stars before the video even started playing because....because it's Arlo and the Dillards of course fer Pete's sake. Hey who is that Pete anyway?

  • Hey gang, come check out The Dillards official website and SAVE on our brand new "Homeland Security" t-shirt. In fact, all shirts are now just $15 through Christmas. Just Google "The Dillards official store"

  • Jackie, Thanks so much for posting this and other great videos. Keep it coming! Happy holidays to the family.
