I have the same laptop. Came with windows 7. My problem is it idles at about 50% computer usage. I cant figure out why the usage is so high at idle. I've turn most of the services off that I dont need and have a good tweaking dell inspiron 1540 program to control "start up" programs etc. any advice?? What does yours idle at?

how long does the battery last for the 1545 after it is fully charged? coz when i charge it, it runs out of battery so fast i took the battery out to save it...
