Johnson (Marvin Gaye), Ashley Ta'Mar Davis (Tammi Terrell), Jesse Campbell (David Ruffin), Sy Smith (Martha Reeves/Andante), Caren Handley (Mary Wilson/Andante), Sonja Maia Harper (Anna Gordy-Gaye/Andante), Darron Johnson (Harvey Fuqua), Akeem Smith (Smokey Robinson), etc. with a musical accompanyment by The Funk Brothers James Jamerson (Scott "Bugs" Allen/bass), Earl Van Dyke (Keith "Beetle" Price/drums), and Robert White (Earl Harris/guitar). Performed at the Stage 52 Playhouse and Wilshire Ebell Theater April 2002 [Behind the scenes interviews, conducted by seasoned broadcaster Ron Brewington, include Zeola Gaye (Marvin Gaye's sister), Irene Gaye (Marvin Gaye's sister-in-law), Jan Gaye (Marvin Gaye's ex-wife), renowned casting director Robi Reed, veteran actress Ella Joyce, hip hop artist Mok 'N Stef, and theater, Broadway producer Jim Evering, and film writer-director David E.
