http://artisanfitness.com Please realize that while I used the term "invented" I'm not 100% sure that someone else didn't come up with something similar, but I haven't seen it . If that's the case I'll make note of it. I'm not referring to other Judo drills with bands that already exist. The difference is that this is with a partner to ensure accurate entry technique. The band only engages at the very end of the entry, teaching the thrower to follow through as forcefully as possible. This prevents the pausing that often occurs from doing entry drills.

  • Good advice on not doing this unless you actually know the throw. That is so important. As for the drill I have seen resistance drills but it's typically a three person drill where a third person is holding the belt of the uke. This is the first time I've seen bands used in this manner. Very interesting.
