Here is a United States Air Force C-5 Galaxy training as it comes in on final approach to Lackland AFB/Kelly Field. Just as it's crossing the base boundaries, it's powers up and aborts the landing to go around for another try.

  • Was probably a practice instrument approach...seemed like the go-round was approx. at ILS minimums.

  • REAL NICE!!!! 10 thumbs up. i always see them fly over the house cause the runway is about 2 blocks from where i live. Westover, Altus, Dover, McGuire, and of course our very own san antonio AFRC and AMC

  • FANTASTIC !!!

  • wow that must have been loud

  • There is nothing like the sound of a C5. Once you hear it you will never forget it. My husband was a dedicated crew chief on the C5 out of Dover and Altus for 16 years. We still get to see one every now and then when they come to Tulsa, OK taking troops overseas. We always get to get onboard for a tour. I guess from one crew chief to another. The best aircraft in the world. LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • the best sound on earth

  • Why did he or they abort the landing?

  • Wow man nice footage was it loud? great job!! :)
