  • You're a Faggot

  • its funny how people that know nothing about guns try to dictate what trigger pullers and operators should have...

  • same old argument that its the tools fault, im a millwright and i have a lot of tools, but those tools are worthless without my hands and my knowledge of my trade.

The greatest human rights abusers in history have been governments that persecute and target civilians(often their own civilians), how is this treaty going to disarm any governments? Criminals and other dangerous killers prefer unarmed victims. Read about the village of Obo in Africa, after being attacked by a violent criminal gang they decided to protect themselves with great results.

  • @GunOwnerDan Okay, so we give arms to both sides and let them fight it out? I think you've missed the bigger picture here Dan - we need to stop weapons from being sold to those who we know will use them for human rights abuses, which is a daily occurrence at the moment thanks to the loopholes in international law.

Mass murder and genocide are only possible with large numbers of unarmed victims.

When good people are armed and capable of protecting themselves, suddenly bad people with guns aren't such a big problem.

  • @GunOwnerDan what Control Arms is calling for here is not an end to a persons 'right of self defense', but a new, regulated arms trade treaty. There is currently more international regulation on the trade of bananas and stamps than there is weapons! This enables thousands of arms to fall into the wrong hands, which are then used to commit terrible acts of violence such as mass murders and other abuses of human rights. This is about tighter controls/restrictions for the betterment of all people.

  • Mass murderers often prefer unarmed victims.

That's why the basic human right to self defense is so important.
