A little demo video of my DIY proximity wah pedal based on the proximity LED controller showed in another video. For the most time the sensitivity control is at max. to show the maximum range with my construction, unless otherwise stated. ;)

more details on my blog:

Equipment:
- Fender Telecaster
- DIY MiniAmp (the modified version from my other video) through Weber Sig6 Ceramic
- DIY Tonebender MK II

  • Hey FcKw, ive been searching for some BASIC plans on how to make one of these, but cant find much of anything that makes sense to me. To be honest, im virtually iliterate with electronics, but I can fake my way through with a photo of the board and list of parts (sometimes). How the hell do I make one? Man, i'd buy one if you had one for sale,,,, got one spare?

  • @headoncollider Hi, have you been to my blog? There I have written about this pedal in some more detail, with layouts and schematics attached. It is linked in the description of this video. You can write me a PM, if you have any futher questions. :)

  • Would this work with metal tones, or is it pretty much only effective for clean?

  • @StefanTylerHelton I think it really depends on the distortion like it is with other wahs too. I tried to cover how it reacts with distortion/fuzz in the last part with the Tonebender. But you could always modifiy the wah circuit to work better with your favorite distortion.

  • hi i have this on breadboard, but it only lights the led when i touch the copper...its not reacting to being near it...also, i noticed a few videos of this where people are using it with no shoes on..hmmmm....whats it like with shoes etc?..any ideas why mine isnt proximity sensing..? thanks.

  • @100roberthenry It also works with shoes on. I'll send you a PM concerning your problem...
