A woman who is breastfeeding doesn't have any responsibility to the people around her, her only job is to feed her child. Anyone who is uncomfortable with public BF or who has a negative reaction to this has a responsibility to examine why they feel that way. It isn't the mom's fault you're having that reaction. There isn't something wrong with the mom, there's something wrong with you for having that reaction. Fix that something.

I breastfeed and I do so in public. there is nothing wrong with it.
Why is it wrong to breastfeed a child past a year old? MANY countries do so. Only in America are Breast seen as such a conterversal issue.
Women in Africa walk around topless the men dont oogle or aww they dont even notice.
Women in Africa breastfeed out in plain sight again the men dont stare and no one gets upset. Why?
BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT BREAST ARE FOR, TO FEED CHILDREN NOT FOR SEXUAL PURPOSES.

@domram12. Uh. what? I don't know a single mother that has sexual feelings while BFing, myself included. Just because there have 'been studies' does not mean that is the norm. BF is one of the least sexual things I can think of, so that you are even inferring that it is is extremely weird, dude...

IT GOES WAY BEYOND "just breastfeeding in public" because women are the only gender capable to achieve orgasm in a public place while going unnoticed whereas a man cannot because you can see his erection. For a child to cause a woman extreme sexual arousal while at her breasts can only mean she finds the child to be sexually attractive as well as the sight and feel of the child onto her breasts MEANING these women who orgasm during breastfeeding are pedophiles and the law allows it(?).

@fesdragon WOMEN ARE THE ONLY GENDER capable to have SEX outdoors without other people noticing because their engorged clitoris is not noticable through their clothes the way a man's erected penis is. Becoming sexually turned on to orgasm is having sex and if a child causes that during breastfeeeding that makes these women pedophiles because these women find the sight and feel of a child onto their sexual objects which are their breasts to be sexually arousing and attractive.

@domram12 What does child support have to do with public breast feeding, you idiot.

Okay, why do people think it's okay to bring any little creature with them to a public place, like a restaurant, where I am trying to enjoy a meal, and the ambience... do you really think that I would like to see some cow and her parasite in the same setting as me? No, not really. It's gross. Feed that thing at home, where the rest of us don't have to be subjected to your disgusting baby. Great.

I live in Norway, and here it's normal to breastfeed in malls, cafe's, resturants and everywhere really. And other people don't see their boob! BECAUSE THE BABIES IS COVERING IT IDIOTS!
-
people complain about a "flashing boob" when a mother is feeding her child - yet you can walk into gas station and see a nude woman on a magazine visible for all public. I think its pretty ridiculous how perverted people are now-a-days.

@domram12 I didn't become sexually aroused, I just felt an overwhelming amount of love for my child, the chemical responses are crazy. I haven't spoken with any women that felt sexually aroused. I think you are the pervert for thinking that way. It is a shame you don't have the ability to experience breastfeeding. I was actually worried about the same thing before, but after, the bond cannot be described, I do think if the kid is older than one that it is weird though, and now my hate mail, lol
Just wondering what people would prefer: A woman discreetly (meaning having a blanket over the shoulder to hide the feeding baby or something) breastfeeding her hungry child, or a starving, screaming baby?? Seriously people!! I fully intend to breastfeed my children, where and when they need it!!

@Apsenniel09 Agreed. Who would oppose a mom breast feeding a crying child on an airplane? Nobody. So why in other contexts?
