Introduction

The life of Tamar.

Who is Tamar. There is much that can be said regarding this account, the life of Tamar. There is much that should be said, ought to be said, and we are going to take the time to say. Welcome to the sermonette serious of the life of Tamar.
Lets get started.

Who is Tamar, she his the daughter in law of Judah. Lets spend a few minutes recounting some biblical history.

Judah The fourth son of Jacob and the fourth of Leah.

Judah is part of the twelve tribes of Israel according to the promise of God recorded for us in

Gen_49:1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Gen_49:2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father. ... Listing of sons Gen_49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Gen_49:9 Judah is a lion's whelp: ....Listing of sons... Gen_49:28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
